After nearly a year of actions on campuses across the state, pushing the UC Regents and exercising our political power in Sacramento, AFSCME 3299 members forced UC not only to honor our contracts but also won more improvements.

UC proposes pay cuts for pension

UC has officially proposed a 3% pay cut for 2011 and 2012. This is part of a larger plan to cut back benefits that the UC Regents have approved for non-union workers in their December 13 meeting.

Healthcare Negotiations Update

Detailed Proposals – Strike Authorization Vote

After 10 months of negotiating, we are at impasse with the University and no further talks are scheduled. At this point, our elected bargaining team has called for a strike authorization vote and is unanimously asking us to vote “YES” to authorize the team to call a strike.
