3299 Endorses Leland Yee for San Francisco Mayor
One week after landing the first major endorsement in the race for San Francisco Mayor, Leland Yee has again won another key endorsement. This week, Yee was unanimously endorsed by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) – the largest public service employee union in the nation.

In its third meeting with the University, the UC Union Coalition proposed joint governance, demanding an end to special retirement deals for highly compensated executives, and information about Los Alamos retirement transfers.
Pension Bargaining Update #2 (2006): Coalition Demands UC Sunshine Proposals!
Formal Bargaining about UC’s proposed Paycuts for Pensions Began October 25. In solidarity with the Bargaining teams, thousands of UC workers wore stickers and delivered petitions saying “Hands Off our Benefits!” UC Unions have been forced to cancel the next bargaining session, since UC has not properly sunshined bargaining proposals. UC Unions have repeatedly expressed concern over UC’s failure to comply with public meeting requirements.
AFSCME Members Vote Yes to Create Strike Fund!
On Thursday, March 9, 2006, AFSCME 3299 Members voted overwhelmingly for the Union’s new Strength for our Future program.
