		<description><![CDATA[<strong>Irvine, Calif.,</strong> Oct. 17, 2011 – California Irvine and AFSCME Local 3299 announced today (Oct. 17, 2011) an agreement to complete the in-sourcing of custodial duties on campus.  

The university will hire 94 full-time custodians by mid-April 2012.  Many of these individuals have been working on campus through an outside contractor to clean classrooms, the recreation facility, offices and labs. ]]></description>
