UC Patient Care Watch is brought to you by the 11,000 Patient Care Technical employees at UC's Medical Centers (UCSF, UCLA, UCI, UCD and UCSD) who are members of AFSCME Local 3299. We are Vocational Nurses; Nurse Aides; Certified Nursing Assistants; Respiratory Therapists; Lab, Anesthesia, Ultrasound and Pharmacy Technicians; Patient Transporters and many many more essential healthcare workers in the UC Medical Centers.
AFSCME is currently in contract negotiations with UC. We are fighting for wages, benefits and working conditions which we believe will make UC's Medical Centers better places for our members and for our patients. We are committed to providing quality patient care. That is why we created UC Patient Care Watch, to help our patients and their families understand issues related to the quality of care at UC's Medical Centers.
